Swonder Announcement/Summer League

This morning Swonder Ice Arena made a major announcement about it's future. 



As a result we have another announcement concerning Adult League for the summer. With the current season ending on May 21st follow by memorial day weekend we will have 4 weeks to hold an abbreviated season in the month of June.


This summer session will be $50 registration and run Sundays (5pm and 6:30pm) June 4,11,18, and 25th and will consist of 4 teams. It will not be a continuation of the current league season. Instead it will be a draft-tournament style play. Because we are only able to have 4 teams we are limiting registration to the first 60 skaters and 4 goaltenders. No substitutes or drop ins will be allowed for these games (excepting goaltenders). Registration will go live on Monday May 8, 2023 at 8:00am via this link. Registration will close on Sunday May 28, 2023 at 11:59pm. Once Registration is full no other participants will be able to register. The week before play begins the commissioner (Marc Schiele) and Rink GM (Nich Pariman) will draft players onto teams with the intent to balance talent on paper the best we can. Teams will be sorted into 4 colors (White, Black, Red, Blue). Jersey numbers will not be required as individual stats will not be tracked for this session. Breakdown:

  • 4 week summer session consisting of 4 teams
  • Draft-Tournament Style, all players are free agents
  • $50 registration, first come first serve
  • 60 skaters and 4 goalies maximum.
